  24.                          HOW TO INSTALL THE SOFTWARE
  25.                         -----------------------------
  26.   If download as resume.exe(this is a self extracting file)copy it to any
  27.   directory and run RESZIP.EXE by typing:  RESZIP  at the prompt C:\RESUME
  28.   then run INSTALL.EXE by typing:  INSTALL  at the prompt.the install -
  29.   program will guide you through the rest of the installation.

  32.                            IF INSTALLING FROM A DISK

  35. 1. Insert disk in drive A: or B:

  39. 2. Type: INSTALL AT the A: or B: prompt.

  42. 3. The defalt drive and directory is C:\SLSRES 
  43.    You can change this at the install program in case 
  44.    there is a directory with the same name.

  47. 4. Run the file RESUME.EXE this will start the program

  51.               INSTALLING FROM WINDOWS 3.1 & 95

  54. From FILEMANAGER in WINDOWS 3.1, With the mouse click on file
  55. then click run.It will prompt you for what drive and file you
  56. want to run TYPE: A:\install or B:\install depending on which
  57. drive you have the disk in.From the taskbar in windows 95 click
  58. on the start button, Then click run from there its the same as
  59. WINDOWS 3.1, TYPE: A:\install or B:\ install when prompted.
  60. You can create a short cut from windows 3.1 with the pif editor
  61. that comes with the windows program.Windows 95 creates a pif 
  62. on its own.I've never had to create a pif myself, the program
  63. seems to run well with out it.However it is a DOS program.
  64. If running from WINDOWS you must be in the same video mode as
  65. the RESUME PROGRAM 640X480, 256 COLOR.Thats more than likely what
  66. your running it in, that seems to be the standard.If your systems
  67. memory configuration is correct you should have know problem -
  68. running this program from windows.The program may run slightly
  69. faster in the DOS mode.

  75. Version 3.0 now has a better screen layout.Comes with full installation
  76. program, Just type install at the prompt.Now supports new command line
  77. option: Now you can type  RESUME /G  to start the program and it will
  78. give you a menu of available video modes.To select a alternative video 
  79. mode press the letter on the keyboard thats by your selection on the -
  80. the screen and you will start in that video mode.If you make no selection
  81. resume will start in the default video mode.Added icon for windows.

  89. This is a sample of a custom computer resume program.you can make copys of
  90. your custom disk and hand them out to employers like candy.Transfer them over
  91. the enternet to find jobs.It includes a picture of yourself so employers can
  92. see what you look like.They can read your resume and print it out with a
  93. key press or mouse click.The program looks somethimg like windows program
  94. manager, large window with control buttons at the top.You can control it 
  95. with the mouse or keyboard.Press H on the keyboard or click the help button
  96. with the left mouse, once you start the program for detailed help on how
  97. to use the program.
